A characteristic element of her work – mostly inspired by daily life – are the happy and joyful associated colors which provide an unexpected contrast to the seldom smiling characters – mostly female-read persons. When asked about the reasons for her characters‘ grumpiness, she says: "We don't know if they are in a bad mood, actually. Maybe they are just sick of people / society expecting them to smile and look nice all the time. And I guess pretty much all of you (especially all female socialized human beings out there) know what I mean by that“.
In addition to commissioned work and changing projects, she takes care of her own online shop
- the range includes mainly art prints and postcards. Also: enamel pins, stickers, notepads, as well as various changing small editions (e.g. scarves, ceramics).
